Orbit DAC family:
Orbit DAC comes in three variations A, B and C
They all share both coaxial and optical inputs and would work with up to 24bit 192KHz for Coax and 24bit 96KHz rates for optical input. The device is powered by a 9V DC either from battery or power supply and has an ultra low power consumption.
The A model is meant for home use and has a fixed RCA stereo output. Models B and C have also differential outputs. Every output is powerful enough to drive monitor loudspeakers or final amplifiers. It can couple easily with solid state and tube (pre)amplifiers. The C model however has also a top quality analog volume control knob.
These converters are not toys with buttons and lights allowing you to set all sorts of filters and loudness. They simply convert the incoming stream of digital audio data into an analog signal int the most pure way possible. No digital signal manipulation, no DSP, no special filtering. Once converted, the analog audio signal path is free of any nonlinear element such capacitors or inductors. We guaranty you listen to the very original recording as it was done without any additional coloration.
The OrbitDAC works straight out of the box with any SPDIF coax or optical source. That include CD / DVD / Blue ray players/ Apple TV or other multimedia players supporting this standard. Most PC but specially MacBook Pro users will benefit from the optical connection avoiding asynchronous USB.
